Company: CrewView (Blackthorn Software)
Location: Lehi, UT
Type: Full-time
Reports to: COO
CrewView is construction management software built around the three things that actually decide whether a job makes money: people, projects, and equipment. Crews clock in from the field with location data. Project managers track tasks, dependencies, and milestones on live Gantt charts. Fleet and equipment managers know which tool is on which site, who has it, and when it was last serviced.
We sell to construction company owners, project managers, supervisors, controllers, and fleet managers — people who have been burned by bloated platforms that took six months to roll out and never got adopted in the field. Our pricing is public and flat: $25 per user per month. Our promise is that CrewView pays for itself in the first month by recovering an hour of labor per employee.
That combination — a real product, honest pricing, and a buyer who is genuinely underserved — is what you'd be selling.
This is the first dedicated sales hire, which means you carry a number and build the function at the same time. Early on you will be running your own deals end to end: sourcing contractors, running demos, and closing. As volume justifies it, you'll hire and coach reps, and own the pipeline, the process, and the forecast.
Our deals are the SMB and mid-market kind — a 40-person contractor on the Pro plan is roughly $12K in annual recurring revenue, and Enterprise starts at 150 seats. That means real velocity: many conversations, short cycles, and a close that hinges on whether a foreman believes the app will make his Monday easier.
Own the revenue number for CrewView, and the plan for hitting it
Run the full cycle yourself first: prospect, qualify, demo, negotiate, close
Demo the product credibly to two very different audiences in the same call — the owner looking at labor cost and the superintendent who has to use it on site
Build the outbound motion into contractors, specialty trades, and general contractors: lists, sequences, and the calls that come out of them
Turn what you hear in deals into a repeatable pitch, objection playbook, and qualification criteria the next rep can run
Hire, onboard, and coach reps as the team grows
Keep the CRM honest and forecast a pipeline leadership can plan against
Feed the field back to product — the features that win deals, and the ones that lose them
Work alongside marketing on the inbound side: demo requests, downloads, and the content that fills the top of the funnel
5+ years selling B2B software, with a track record of carrying and hitting a quota
Experience closing full-cycle deals in the SMB or mid-market segment, where volume and speed matter more than a two-year enterprise cycle
Credibility with construction, field services, trades, fleet, or another operationally heavy industry — you can hold a conversation about job costing, payroll, or equipment maintenance without translating
Comfort being the first sales hire: no inherited pipeline, no playbook, no SDR handing you meetings
The instinct to build process while selling, not after
Willing to get on job sites and see how the work actually happens
You've hired and managed reps before, even a small team
You sold into construction specifically, or worked in it
You've built an outbound function from scratch
Familiarity with time tracking, payroll, or asset management workflows
You're not taking over a territory in a mature org. You're deciding what the sales motion for CrewView looks like, with a product that already works and a price point that doesn't need defending. The ceiling is whatever you build.
